A Century of U.S. \u2013 Romania Relations"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The\narticle argues that the US-Romania Strategic Partnership is the\nlogical and mutually advantageous result of the two countries\u2019\nshared values and core interests, evidenced by the evolution of\nbilateral relations over the past century. To that end, the analysis\nfocuses on four main aspects: (1) the historical dimension, in\nparticular US support for Romania\u2019s Great Union and the role of the\nRomanian-American community in that context, (2) the common values\nand strategic vision of the two countries in the post-1989 period;\n(3) the current state and substance of the Partnership and (4) its\npotential and future perspectives. The conclusions show that the\nUS-Romania Strategic Partnership is based upon shared long-term\nstrategic interests, a common set of values, as well as genuine\naffinity and friendship between the two peoples.
