Se joac\u0103 cu focul ca s\u0103 lumineze la flac\u0103ra lui \u00eentunericul bezn\u0103 din pe\u015ftera (caverna!) \u00een care ne ducem zilele nu de azi, de ieri&#8230; Descrie o \u00eent\u00e2mplare tr\u0103it\u0103 de el \u201e\u00een urm\u0103 cu vreo cinci lu\u015ftri, \u00eentr-o s\u00e2mb\u0103t\u0103, \u00eenainte de pr\u00e2nz.\u201c Pentru ca unitatea de timp \u015fi de loc s\u0103 respecte norma clasic\u0103 a realismului fundamental, avem, ca la Balzac, \u015fi locul precis al povestirii ce st\u0103 s\u0103 \u00eenceap\u0103: \u201e\u00een buricul t\u00e2rgului\u201c, la Bucure\u015fti, \u201epe trotuar, \u00een fa\u0163a casei\u201c. Venea de la pia\u0163\u0103, cump\u0103rase un portbagaj de gogo\u015fari, cartofi, mere, varz\u0103, struguri, p\u00e2ine, m\u0103lai, nuci: \u201eToamn\u0103 de mod\u0103 veche!\u201c, exclam\u0103, nostalgic, naratorul pentru a continua descrierea am\u0103nun\u0163it\u0103 \u015fi tacticoas\u0103 a unei \u201espargeri\u201c petrecute sub ochii lui. Vorba vine, era cu ochii \u00een portbagaj, de unde da s\u0103 scoat\u0103 celelalte roade ale toamnei \u201ede mod\u0103 veche\u201c. Rezemase sacul cu gogo\u015fari de zidul cenu\u015fiu, \u201ela un pas de roata ma\u015finii\u201c \u2013 noteaz\u0103 scrupulos naratorul realist. P\u00e2n\u0103 s\u0103-\u015fi ridice ochii din portbagaj, sacul aproape se golise! La c\u00e2\u0163iva pa\u015fi mai \u00eencolo trei in\u015fi \u201ecurat \u00eembr\u0103ca\u0163i, frumos tun\u015fi, unul duce sub bra\u0163 un fel de map\u0103 neagr\u0103\u201c \u2013 continu\u0103 netulburat descrierea prozatorul realist \u2013 \u201er\u00e2d pe \u00eenfundate\u201c. Dup\u0103 ce la iu\u0163eal\u0103 goliser\u0103 sacul cu gogo\u015fari, \u201ein\u015fii\u201c se distreaz\u0103, \u00eei r\u00e2d \u00een nas, ca de o glum\u0103 bun\u0103: \u201eunul \u00eemi arat\u0103 pumnul str\u00e2ns \u00een jurul degetului mare scos printre ar\u0103t\u0103tor \u015fi mijlociu. R\u00e2d to\u0163i \u00een hohote. Cel mic scuip\u0103 artistic printre din\u0163ii str\u00e2n\u015fi. Strig la ei: m\u0103\u0103\u0103, fura\u0163i? R\u0103spunde \u0103la cu saco\u015fa: am glumit. R\u00e2sul lor cre\u015fte \u00een cascad\u0103. C\u00e2\u0163iva trec\u0103tori r\u00e2d \u015fi ei, din mers, nu se opresc, se duc \u00een treaba lor. Apuc s\u0103-i mai v\u0103d (pe \u201eglume\u0163i\u201c) cum se arunc\u0103 tustrei \u00eentr-un Ford vechi parcat acolo, pornesc \u00een tromb\u0103\u201c. Prozatorul, \u00eenc\u0103 \u201erealist\u201c, se urc\u0103 acas\u0103, se baricadeaz\u0103 \u201e\u00een odaia mea, \u00eentre marile ziduri de c\u0103r\u0163i\u201c p\u00e2n\u0103 ce, deodat\u0103, simte cum din buc\u0103t\u0103rie \u201evine un foarte pl\u0103cut miros de gogo\u015fari cop\u0163i\u201c: gogo\u015farii din \u201egluma\u201c de mai \u00eenainte!? Mirosul, ca \u015fi gustul madlenei adus sub limb\u0103 de amintirea lui Proust, \u00eel \u201estimuleaz\u0103\u201c pe naratorul realist, declan\u015f\u00e2ndu-i ideea s\u0103 pun\u0103 \u00eent\u00e2mplarea (\u201egluma\u201c) de mai \u00eenainte sub regimul imaginarului: \u201ePropun un final imaginar\u201c, zice el, tr\u0103g\u00e2nd \u201egluma\u201c de acum cinci lu\u015ftri \u00een&#8230; tribunalul din imagina\u0163ia lui: \u201eAm ajuns \u00eempreun\u0103 cu cei trei la tribunal&#8230; Judec\u0103torul e un b\u0103rbat \u00eentre dou\u0103 v\u00e2rste, sobru, grav s-ar putea spune, dac\u0103 pui la socoteal\u0103 cuta dintre spr\u00e2ncene \u015fi maxilarul ferm, t\u0103ios. Reputa\u0163ie ne\u00eendoielnic\u0103. Mai de mult, la \u00eenceput, procuror. Va fi, nu \u00eencape \u00eendoial\u0103, nu peste mult timp, un avocat de succes\u201c. Mai departe ce constat\u0103m? Constat\u0103m c\u0103 \u201emadlena\u201c lui Proust nu \u201efunc\u0163ioneaz\u0103\u201c, iar de propunerea naratorului de a oferi \u201eglumei\u201c un final \u00een regimul imaginarului se alege praful: confiscat\u0103 de un realism \u201eca \u00een via\u0163\u0103\u201c, gluma se \u00eenfund\u0103 copios vir\u00e2nd \u00eentr-o actualitate f\u0103r\u0103 sf\u00e2r\u015fit \u015fi f\u0103r\u0103 moarte. A\u015fa cum se \u00eent\u00e2mpl\u0103 \u015fi cu piesele, momentele \u015fi schi\u0163ele \u2013 \u201efanteziste\u201c \u015fi imaginare (fic\u0163iuni, nu?!) \u2013 ale lui Ion Luca Caragiale, c\u0103rora un mare critic le prezicea, gre\u015find, c\u0103derea \u00een depozitul de \u201evechituri\u201c dep\u0103\u015fite \u015fi ie\u015fite din uz \u2013 uzul actualit\u0103\u0163ii! N-a fost \u2013 nu este \u2013 a\u015fa. C\u0103ci exist\u0103 \u00een ciuda sau \u00eempotriva \u201eimaginarului\u201c, deseori prea optimist, actualit\u0103\u0163i f\u0103r\u0103 sf\u00e2r\u015fit \u015fi f\u0103r\u0103 moarte: ne \u00eenghite actualitatea care nu apuc\u0103, mai niciodat\u0103, s\u0103 se schimbe \u015fi s\u0103 se \u00eenvecheasc\u0103, devenind un \u201etrecut\u201c definitiv \u015fi ireversibil. Ce face judec\u0103torul imaginar din inten\u0163ia \u201eevazionist\u0103\u201c a lui George B\u0103l\u0103i\u0163\u0103? Pe scurt, \u201ebareaz\u0103\u201c, \u00een numele legii \u015fi al realit\u0103\u0163ii ne\u00eendur\u0103toare calea fic\u0163iunii \u015fi a imaginarului. \u201eAresteaz\u0103\u201c \u2013 ca s\u0103 spunem a\u015fa \u2013 regimul imaginarului pe care prozatorul tocmai se decisese s\u0103 mearg\u0103, constr\u00e2ng\u00e2ndu-l s\u0103 ia calea realit\u0103\u0163ii: chip de a spune doar (!) c\u0103 aceast\u0103 realitate, bun\u0103 ori rea, dar mai ales rea, e mai puternic\u0103 dec\u00e2t fic\u0163iunea \u2013 supus\u0103 \u015fi umilit\u0103 \u015fi ea de glume\u0163ul judec\u0103tor c\u0103ruia, generos, naratorul \u00eei \u00eentrevede un m\u0103re\u0163 \u015fi luminos viitor. Realitatea, \u00een fine, e aidoma capetelor de balaur din basme: pe m\u0103sur\u0103 ce sunt retezate, ele se \u00eenmul\u0163esc. Iat\u0103 realitatea, mai fabuloas\u0103 \u00een felul ei dec\u00e2t regimul imaginarului: \u201eDup\u0103 ce Completul ascult\u0103 p\u0103r\u0163ile, acuzarea, martorii etc. \u2013 scrie naratorul \u2013 Curtea se retrage pentru medita\u0163ie \u015fi chibzuial\u0103. Revine doar judec\u0103torul (viitorul avocat de succes!) mult mai relaxat. E sigur c\u0103 a luat cea mai \u00een\u0163eleapt\u0103 decizie. \u00centr-adev\u0103r. Cei trei sunt oameni onorabili. Mahalagii cu loc de munc\u0103 stabil, familii respectate \u00een cartier, vecinii confirm\u0103 unanim. \u00c3l de e mai copt a lucrat trei ani \u00een Italia \u015fi Spania, a str\u00e2ns un mic capital \u015fi vrea s\u0103 porneasc\u0103 o afacere. Junele \u015fade cu ochii \u00abp\u0103 Colintina\u00bb, cas\u0103 b\u0103tr\u00e2neasc\u0103, \u015fase od\u0103i vagon, gr\u0103dini de zarzavat, pomi fructiferi, ciuperc\u0103rie rentabil\u0103 \u00een beciul ad\u00e2nc de sub buc\u0103t\u0103ria de var\u0103.\u201c Cititorul fic\u0163iunii n-are de unde \u015fti ce s-a f\u0103cut, ce s-a spus \u015fi s-a deliberat \u00een culisele acestei realit\u0103\u0163i, acolo unde Justi\u0163ia \u00eentruchipat\u0103 de Curte e oarb\u0103 \u2013 ca s\u0103 nu p\u0103rtineasc\u0103 pe nimeni! \u2013 \u015fi unde numai Dumnezeu e martor. Curtea \u015fi-a f\u0103cut datoria: medita\u0163ia \u015fi chibzuiala Cur\u0163ii retrase \u2013 ca isiha\u015ftii, \u00een ad\u00e2nc\u0103 medita\u0163ie \u015fi rug\u0103ciune \u2013 au rodit \u00eentr-o judecat\u0103 \u015fi sentin\u0163\u0103 pe m\u0103sur\u0103. \u201eA\u015fadar, domnule judec\u0103tor, ace\u015fti cet\u0103\u0163eni cumsecade au furat sau n-au furat?\u201c Judec\u0103torul, ca \u015fi infractorul, \u201ez\u00e2mbe\u015fte paternal: sigur c\u0103 nu! Au glumit\u201c. Ho\u0163ul de p\u0103guba\u015f, z\u00e2mbitor \u015fi el, n-are \u00eencotro, face c\u00e2\u0163iva pa\u015fi p\u00e2n\u0103 la masa judec\u0103torului, care, \u201eprietenos, se apleac\u0103 spre mine. Eu \u00eei ard o pereche dubl\u0103 de palme. \u00ce\u015fi duce m\u00e2na la gur\u0103, umbl\u0103 pe acolo cu dou\u0103 degete \u015fi scoate un dinte cu r\u0103d\u0103cina lung\u0103, ascu\u0163it\u0103 \u015fi s\u00e2ngerie. \u00cel prive\u015fte mut, pare curios. Peruca argintie i-a alunecat \u015fmechere\u015fte peste o spr\u00e2ncean\u0103. \u00centreaga asisten\u0163\u0103 \u00eenghea\u0163\u0103. Nici musca nu se mai aude. Cu m\u00e2na la falc\u0103, judec\u0103torul \u00eentreab\u0103, pare mai degrab\u0103 mirat dec\u00e2t indignat: \u201eCe-a\u0163i f\u0103cut?! Nimic, spun eu, am glumit!\u201c Totul e o glum\u0103, iar realitatea le \u00eentrece pe toate. Scris\u0103 cu umor, ironie \u015fi sarcasm t\u0103ios ca o sabie de Toledo, \u201eGluma\u201c lui George B\u0103l\u0103i\u0163\u0103 e, sub chipul ei oarecum sur\u00e2z\u0103tor \u015fi domestic (gogo\u015fari, varz\u0103, mere etc), o puternic\u0103 parabol\u0103, sceptic\u0103 \u015fi satiric\u0103, \u00een care termenii \u201erealit\u0103\u0163ii\u201c nu sunt deturna\u0163i \u00een forme sofisticate, cabalistice, dar l\u0103sa\u0163i (\u00eempin\u015fi) s\u0103 se dea pe fa\u0163\u0103. \u201eGluma\u201c, o capodoper\u0103 \u00een dou\u0103 pagini, ne avertizeaz\u0103 asupra unor lucruri cu care nu e de glumit, descrise cu un sur\u00e2s care te \u00eenghea\u0163\u0103: o form\u0103 \u00eenalt\u0103 de spirit critic \u015fi \u2013 ei, da! \u2013 civic de care nu mul\u0163i sunt \u00een stare.
