{"id":20888,"date":"2014-10-21T13:28:40","date_gmt":"2014-10-21T11:28:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/revistacultura.ro\/nou\/?p=20888"},"modified":"2014-10-21T13:28:40","modified_gmt":"2014-10-21T11:28:40","slug":"istorici-romani-in-cautarea-europei","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/revistacultura.ro\/nou\/istorici-romani-in-cautarea-europei\/","title":{"rendered":"Istorici rom\u00e2ni \u00een c\u0103utarea Europei"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Noua suit\u0103 de interoga\u0163ii pe tema europenismului, a treisprezecea, are loc \u00eentr-un moment c\u00e2nd b\u0103tr\u00e2nul continent, cu toate ale lui, se simte pus iar\u0103\u015fi \u00een cauz\u0103 de factori divergen\u0163i, dincolo de vechiul \u015fi pe alocuri motivatul euroscepticism, fenomen al c\u0103rui \u201edosar\u201c tinde s\u0103 includ\u0103 noi dispute (1). Primul plan \u00eel de\u0163ine deocamdat\u0103 criza ucrainean\u0103, care nu e altceva dec\u00e2t criza Rusiei, ajuns\u0103 \u00een situa\u0163ia de a-\u015fi relansa proiectul imperial (2). Vechi focare de discordie se reanim\u0103, pe continent, \u00een lipsa unor solu\u0163ii rapide \u015fi eficiente, unele chiar \u00een proximitatea noastr\u0103.<br \/>\nIstoricii rom\u00e2ni s-au confruntat mereu, \u00een ultimele secole, cu asemenea probleme, de n-ar fi s\u0103 amintim aici dec\u00e2t numele lui M. Costin, D. Cantemir,<br \/>\nM. Kog\u0103lniceanu, A.D. Xenopol, N. Iorga, G. Br\u0103tianu, serie ilustr\u0103 din care trei \u015fi-au sf\u00e2r\u015fit zilele \u00een condi\u0163ii tragice, milit\u00e2nd pentru o mai bun\u0103 autocogni\u0163ie \u015fi pentru un statut extern mai onorabil (3). \u201eEvropa\u201c c\u0103rturarilor umani\u015fti, men\u0163ionat\u0103 ocazional, a devenit o preocupare mai insistent\u0103 \u00een epoca rena\u015fterii na\u0163ionale, \u00eenc\u0103 nedestul studiat\u0103 sub acest unghi. La 1837, sub influen\u0163a fra\u0163ilor Humboldt \u015fi a profesorului s\u0103u Leopold von Ranke, t\u00e2n\u0103rul studiosus rom\u00e2n M. Kog\u0103lniceanu publica o sintez\u0103 asupra istoriei \u0163\u0103rii sale, care debuta (\u00een edi\u0163ia din 1854) cu acest avertisment: \u201eLes grands \u00e9v\u00e9nements qui font aujourd\u2019hui des principaut\u00e9s du Danube (dont l\u2019histoire est g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement peu connue) le th\u00e9\u00e2tre d\u2019une guerre europ\u00e9enne, nous ont inspir\u00e9 l\u2019id\u00e9e de remettre sous les yeux du public un ouvrage qui empreinte aux faits de la politique du jour un nouvel et puissant int\u00e9r\u00eat d\u2019actualit\u00e9 et d\u2019\u00e1propos\u201c (4). Era \u00eenc\u0103 \u00een curs R\u0103zboiul Crimeii. I-a fost dat aceluia\u015fi istoric s\u0103 joace un rol eminent \u00een unirea \u015fi construc\u0163ia statal\u0103 a rom\u00e2nilor, s\u0103 fie ministru de Externe al \u0163\u0103rii \u00een vremea r\u0103zboiului de neat\u00e2rnare, s\u0103 asume rolul de ambasador la Paris dup\u0103 acel r\u0103zboi, iar \u00eenainte de a se stinge, s\u0103 rosteasc\u0103 la Academia Rom\u00e2n\u0103 un celebru discurs, autentic\u0103 pagin\u0103 de ego-istorie, \u00een care s-a raportat, \u00een deplin\u0103 cuno\u015ftin\u0163\u0103 de cauz\u0103, la durata na\u0163ional\u0103.<br \/>\nAm evocat un exemplu, \u00eens\u0103 la fel de bine ne-am putea referi la A.D. Xenopol, la N. Iorga, la G. Br\u0103tianu \u015f.a., pentru care referin\u0163a la Europa \u015fi standardele ei multiple au fost o preocupare continu\u0103, chiar obsesiv\u0103, fix\u00e2nd repere de neocolit \u00een orice analiz\u0103 istoriografic\u0103. S\u0103 amintim, din at\u00e2tea, unele mai cunoscute \u015fi de natur\u0103 a \u00eentregi tabloul.<br \/>\nEuropa ca entitate geopolitic\u0103 \u015fi europenismul ca atitudine intelectual\u0103 sunt teme recurente, inevitabile, ale istoriografiei rom\u00e2ne, \u00eencep\u00e2nd cu \u201eumani\u015ftii\u201c din secolul XVII \u015fi termin\u00e2nd cu postmodernii demitizan\u0163i din vremea noastr\u0103. St\u0103 \u00een firea omului de oric\u00e2nd \u015fi de oriunde s\u0103 se preocupe de locul s\u0103u printre semeni, de propria identitate, prin analogie cu ceilal\u0163i. Memoria \u015fi istoria au fost antamate de aceea mereu consensual, al\u0103turi de alte domenii ale cunoa\u015fterii de sine, pentru a da contur unui r\u0103spuns (pluralul ar fi aici preferabil) c\u00e2t mai exact.<br \/>\n\u00cen adev\u0103r, apartenen\u0163a cultural\u0103 \u015fi religioas\u0103 la o entitate superioar\u0103, cum era sesizat\u0103 Europa pe timpul cronicarilor Grigore Ureche \u015fi Miron Costin, era o idee de neocolit \u00een orice discurs identitar. Europa lui Br\u00e2ncoveanu \u015fi Cantemir \u00eencepea s\u0103 prind\u0103 contururi mai exacte, cu raportare \u00eendeosebi la imperiile vecine, ale c\u0103ror veleit\u0103\u0163i dominatoare se \u00eentret\u0103iau \u00een spa\u0163iul carpato-danubiano-pontic. Ilumini\u015ftii ardeleni \u015fi c\u0103rturarii rom\u00e2ni din principatele dun\u0103rene \u015fi-au dat m\u00e2na pentru a sintetiza un program na\u0163ional, \u00een care Dacia, apoi Rom\u00e2nia au devenit concepte coagulante, apoi realit\u0103\u0163i geopolitice, structurante, \u00een condi\u0163ii deloc simple, deloc u\u015for de gestionat en historien (5). Oameni politici, diploma\u0163i \u015fi militari au pus \u00een oper\u0103, de-a lungul unui secol convulsiv \u015fi dramatic, acel proiect na\u0163ional, \u00eentocmit prin solidarizarea c\u00e2torva genera\u0163ii. Istoricii, se poate spune f\u0103r\u0103 nici o prezum\u0163ie, s-au aflat mereu \u00een frunte, iar valorile europene (adic\u0103 occidentale) au constituit mereu referin\u0163a de baz\u0103 (6). I.C. Br\u0103tianu, Iuliu Maniu, N. Titulescu, Gr. Gafencu, \u00eendeosebi, se cuvin aminti\u0163i consensual. Ultimul din serie, aflat \u00een exil sub dictatura comunist\u0103, \u00ee\u015fi \u00eendemna (1948) astfel comilitonii la solidaritate, \u00een numele unui proiect integrativ deplin actual: \u201eCar il n\u2019y a qu\u2019une seule Europe; m\u00eame lorsque son corps est mutil\u00e9 et divis\u00e9, la pens\u00e9e qui nous guide vers elle est une et indivisible. L\u2019Europe ne peut pas na\u00eetre \u00e0 une vie nouvelle \u00e0 l\u2019Ouest si elle se meurt \u00e0 l\u2019Est; elle ne peut retrouver sa sant\u00e9, sa grandeur et des forces nouvelles que dans le cadre de ses limites naturelles\u201c (7). Era spiritul ce animase pe marii oameni politici rom\u00e2ni, precum Aurel Popovici, Take Ionescu, N. Titulescu etc., unii aminti\u0163i cu elogii \u015fi \u00een text. Autorul folosea uneltele diploma\u0163iei, fire\u015fte, dar \u015fi discursul istoriografic, domenii ce au conlucrat mereu \u00een ultimele secole. Din zona diploma\u0163iei venea \u015fi un alt exilat, fost ministru de Externe, Mihail Sturdza, pentru care \u201esf\u00e2r\u015fitul Europei\u201c afine era o trist\u0103 realitate (8).<br \/>\nIstoriografia produs\u0103 \u00een exil a dat unele studii de aleas\u0103 \u0163inut\u0103, \u00een care tema europenismului era mereu prezent\u0103, e.g. la M. Berindei, M. Cazacu, P. Chihaia, Al. Cior\u0103nescu, G. Cior\u0103nescu, N. Djuvara, I.C. Dr\u0103gan, Vlad Georgescu, Sergiu Grossu, C. Ioni\u0163oiu, M.D. Sturdza, P. \u015eeicaru, autori \u00eenc\u0103 prea pu\u0163in pu\u015fi \u00een valoare de noile genera\u0163ii.<br \/>\nIstoricii din \u0163ar\u0103, de\u015fi sub restric\u0163ii de tot felul, au g\u0103sit mijloace de a pune \u00een valoare, documentar \u015fi exegetic, problema integr\u0103rii europene, \u00eendeosebi sub unghiul conexiunilor interna\u0163ionale, dar \u015fi ca tem\u0103 de reflec\u0163ie mai ampl\u0103, ca \u00een cazul ilustrat, \u00eentre al\u0163ii, de Dan Berindei, Z. Dumitrescu-Bu\u015fulenga, Al. Du\u0163u, Dan H\u0103ulic\u0103, Adrian Marino, Eugen Simion, P. Teodor, R. Theodorescu. Eu \u00eensumi mi-am \u00eeng\u0103duit s\u0103 abordez unele teme conexe, privind istorismul rom\u00e2nesc, rena\u015fterea na\u0163ional\u0103, epoca Junimii, \u015fcoala critic\u0103, perioada interbelic\u0103, tranzi\u0163ia post-comunist\u0103, \u00een care mai toat\u0103 problematica europenismului ocup\u0103 un loc semnificativ (9).<br \/>\nInteroga\u0163ia propus\u0103 acum, la noua \u00eent\u00e2lnire pe tema Penser l\u2019Europe, invit\u0103 desigur la nuan\u0163e noi \u015fi la aprofund\u0103ri.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>1 Cf.
