C\u00e2nd e vorba despre art\u0103, e greu s\u0103 \u201edai\u201c \u015fi s\u0103 se \u00eent\u00e2mple ceva, e similar cu datul cu aghiasm\u0103, n-are repercusiuni, nu e nici r\u0103u, cum nu e nici bine. A\u015fa c\u0103, de cr\u0103pat, a cr\u0103pat \u00een plin scandal cu iz de rasism. Curatorul \u00eensu\u015fi a ales s\u0103 conving\u0103 publicul \u00een leg\u0103tur\u0103 cu actul artistic pe care l-a propus cu o lung\u0103 incursiune prin gr\u0103dina deliciilor provocate de scandal, vorbind mai mult despre cine, cum \u015fi c\u00e2nd a fost sau urmeaz\u0103 a fi \u00eenjurat \u015fi mai pu\u0163in despre universul plastic. \u201eGeorge Vasilescu completeaz\u0103 ceea ce lipsea lumii maneli\u015ftilor \u015fi le asigur\u0103 din tranzitoriul competi\u0163iei lor nemijlocite, din afirmarea bog\u0103\u0163iei, din afirmarea puterii \u2013 a puterii banului \u015fi a puterii personale \u2013 el le asigur\u0103 cumva accesul la eternitate\u201c, de la maestrul Pavel \u015eu\u015far\u0103, s\u0103 tr\u0103iasc\u0103. S\u0103 zicem c\u0103 poate nici n-a vrut s\u0103 fie mai conving\u0103tor. Iar apropo de George Vasilescu, t\u00e2n\u0103rul artist pe care abia \u00eel mai putem \u00eentrez\u0103ri \u00een toat\u0103 aceast\u0103 poveste, el chiar a \u0163inut s\u0103 vorbeasc\u0103 sincer despre arta sa: \u201eIdeea mi-a venit \u00een momentul \u00een care am fost \u00eentr-o discotec\u0103 \u00een care toat\u0103 lumea dansa pe muzica lor \u015fi erau foarte bucuro\u015fi \u015fi ferici\u0163i. Cred c\u0103 \u00een spatele fiec\u0103rui portret se ascund milioane de emo\u0163ii, milioane de suflete care\u00a0 s-au bucurat, au c\u00e2ntat, s-au c\u0103s\u0103torit pe muzica lor\u201c. Sincer pare s\u0103 fi fost \u015fi curatorul atunci c\u00e2nd a afirmat c\u0103 la \u00eenceput a avut o oarecare re\u0163inere \u015fi c\u0103 s-a g\u00e2ndit c\u0103 totul miroase a oportunism \u015fi a \u00eencercare de a exploata notorietatea pe care manelele o au \u00een spa\u0163iul public. Dar, la urma-urmei, nu la fel de sincer\u0103 ar fi \u015fi o discu\u0163ie, nepurtat\u0103 \u00eenc\u0103, despre scandalul public ca surs\u0103 de notorietate? Oricum, de la expozi\u0163ia-nunt\u0103-cu-dar se poate pleca minimum cu sinceritatea titlului: \u201eConfluen\u0163e, influen\u0163e \u2013 \u00een art\u0103?\u201c.
