De\u0219i numele lui Constantin Br\u00e2ncu\u0219i este punctul de atrac\u021bie evident, programul constituie o dezbatere mult mai larg\u0103: ea urm\u0103re\u0219te genealogii ale sculpturii moderne rom\u00e2ne\u0219ti, contexte de formare, recept\u0103ri critice, raporturi cu fotografia, cu modernitatea european\u0103 \u0219i cu teme de identitate artistic\u0103 ap\u0103rute mai ales dup\u0103 1989.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Axul Br\u00e2ncu\u0219i<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Br\u00e2ncu\u0219i este vedeta absolut\u0103 a sculpturii rom\u00e2ne\u0219ti (\u0219i a \u00eentregii arte plastice). Cu at\u00e2t mai mult, opera sa este axul unei conferin\u021be organizate de istorie a artei rom\u00e2ne\u0219ti organizate \u00een Anul Br\u00e2ncu\u0219i.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Doina Lemny este una dintre figurile centrale ale conferin\u021bei, nu doar prin statutul s\u0103u de keynote speaker, ci \u0219i prin alegerea unui subiect care combin\u0103 cercetarea istoric\u0103, patrimoniul \u0219i documentul de arhiv\u0103. Jonathan Vernon ofer\u0103 deschiderea conceptual\u0103 a \u00eentregului eveniment, iar interven\u021bia sa fixeaz\u0103 Br\u00e2ncu\u0219i \u00eentr-un cadru de analiz\u0103 critic\u0103, nu de simpl\u0103 consacrare. Cristian-Robert Velescu aduce o perspectiv\u0103 erudit\u0103 \u0219i iconologic\u0103, cu accent pe identific\u0103ri de opere \u0219i pe straturi de sens care \u021bin de circula\u021bia imaginilor \u0219i de recep\u021bia cultural\u0103.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00cen deschidere, Jonathan Vernon sus\u021bine conferin\u021ba \u201eBrancusi: Limits and Contradictions\u201d, un titlu care indic\u0103 interesul pentru tensiunile interne ale operei \u0219i pentru felul \u00een care Br\u00e2ncu\u0219i a fost citit prin opozi\u021bii, nuan\u021be \u0219i interpret\u0103ri divergente. A doua interven\u021bie major\u0103, a Doinei Lemny, intitulat\u0103 \u201eA Gift for \u2018Brancusi Year\u2019 \u2013 A Unique Collection of Original Photographs\u201d, mut\u0103 aten\u021bia spre documente \u0219i arhive, conferin\u021ba reu\u0219ind s\u0103 propun\u0103 nu doar interpret\u0103ri teoretice, ci \u0219i o reconstruc\u021bie a contextului artistic, cu materiale vizuale rare \u0219i inaccesibile p\u00e2n\u0103 \u00een prezent. \u00cen ziua a doua, Cristian-Robert Velescu propune o lectur\u0103 iconologic\u0103 ampl\u0103 a trei sculpturi br\u00e2ncu\u0219iene cu tema \u201eMuzei adormite\u201d \u0219i provoc\u0103rile clasific\u0103rii \u0219i tematiz\u0103rii operelor moderniste.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Istoria artei rom\u00e2ne\u0219ti \u0219i istoriile cu Br\u00e2ncu\u0219i<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Comunic\u0103rile sus\u021binute de Virginia Barbu, Eduard Enache \u0219i Eduard Andrei urm\u0103resc aspecte de detaliu, dar importante pentru \u00een\u021belegerea modului \u00een care s-a construit mitologia br\u00e2ncu\u0219ian\u0103. Virginia Barbu discut\u0103 \u201eBrancusi\u2019s \u2018Timidity\u2019: An Elliptical Unique Work\u201d, Eduard Enache analizeaz\u0103 transformarea c\u0103l\u0103toriei de la Bucure\u0219ti la Paris din 1904 \u00eentr-un \u201emit autoreferen\u021bial\u201d, iar Eduard Andrei examineaz\u0103 o expozi\u021bie Br\u00e2ncu\u0219i ratat\u0103 la New York \u00een 1939. \u00cempreun\u0103, aceste comunic\u0103ri \u00eel creioneaz\u0103 pe Br\u00e2ncu\u0219i nu doar ca autor, ci \u0219i ca rezultat al unor construc\u021bii istorice, institu\u021bionale \u0219i simbolice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pe acela\u0219i palier al genealogiilor \u0219i al rela\u021biilor artistice, Barbara Vujanovi\u0107 compar\u0103 \u00eei compar\u0103 Br\u00e2ncu\u0219i \u0219i Me\u0161trovi\u0107 \u00een raport cu abstrac\u021bia spiritual\u0103 \u0219i expresia monumental\u0103, iar Steve Yates discut\u0103 interschimburile dintre modernitate, sculptur\u0103 \u0219i fotografie \u00een opera lui Constantin Br\u00e2ncu\u0219i. Elena Ciocoiu urm\u0103re\u0219te ecourile universului br\u00e2ncu\u0219ian \u00een imaginarul lui Isamu Noguchi, iar Alexandra Parigoris revine asupra bronzului \u201eNewborn II\u201d, cu o perspectiv\u0103 asupra modului \u00een care forma br\u00e2ncu\u0219ian\u0103 continu\u0103 s\u0103 fie interpretat\u0103 \u0219i reluat\u0103 \u00een contexte diferite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Ecouri \u0219i genealogii<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Mihaela Ion analizeaz\u0103 ecourile paradigmei br\u00e2ncu\u0219iene \u00een arta contemporan\u0103, iar Diana Roman l\u0103rge\u0219te subiectul dincolo de Br\u00e2ncu\u0219i, prin comunicarea \u201eDiversity and Identity Configurations in Romanian Female Sculpture after 1989\u201d.
